Kyle J the script creator here. This is version 1.0.0 of my script Roundabout that I submitted for the World Cup Script Contest. The script was inspired by Selling Promises & Potions by Tyler which had the combination of Vortox, Legion, and Lil' Monsta along with a ton of characters like the Chef, Empath, and Fortune Teller that would immediately start getting very polarizing information. I wanted to expand this concept to allow for 4 demons that would each require the town to view their information through a different lens and, if the evil team is doing their job right, constantly be spinning through those worlds. Critical to that is a strong set of Evil characters with plenty of tools to sow disinformation and Outsiders that can be taken advantage of to tip the balance of town's information away from the truth and into a fiction of their devising.

Kyle J again, this time with feedback from the results of Round 1 of the World Cup. While Roundabout did manage to squeak by with a win, the streamed game was pretty rough and showed off quite a few ways the script can be improved.

The script's biggest issue, which was magnificently demonstrated by Jacqui in the steamed game was that with no reason for no night deaths or redirects, the Demon has no flexibility with the Lunatic's night picks. While the Magician and Marionette are successful in initially convincing the Lunatic that they are the demon, once they start picking Evil players to die at night, the Evil team is immediately in trouble. Fixes like adding a Monk and a Mayor were considered, but I felt that the Lunatic was simply too constraining on the Demon's ability to shape the game's narrative and took up too much of the Storyteller's time in setup to be worth keeping moving forward.

Another point of tension on the script that was discovered since this version was created was the interaction between the Vortox and characters like the Balloonist and Amnesiac whose information can't be easily flipped. Additionally, with the amount of Outsider modification already on the script, the extra potential +1 from a townsfolk is likely not necessary. As for the Amnesiac, its ability to completely blindside the Evil Team with an ability that they can't have predicted make it another potential source for unsatisfying interactions that I'd rather avoid.
